DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR AND PRODUCER
RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
I have managed sports social media accounts since 2013. What started as creating a Millbrook Athletic Department Twitter account in high school has grown into managing all platforms for the Carolina Mudcats since 2017 including the creation of the brand's TikTok platform in October 2019.
Since 2014, I have controlled the creation and production of all content on Millbrook High School Men's Basketball social media platforms.
Content here is featured from both @CarolinaMudcats and @MillbrookMBB.
In September 2019, I was asked to be Minor League Baseball's guest speaker on the topic of "best practices in the industry" when managing social media at its annual Innovators Summit.
My social content has helped lead the Carolina Mudcats and Millbrook Basketball to an abundance of national recognition including a combined 13 appearances on ESPN's SportsCenter.
Since my start in 2017, Carolina Mudcats’ social content has sparked appearances on Good Morning America, ABC Nightly News, CBS Evening News, CNN, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Sports Illustrated, MLB.com, ESPN’s Around the Horn, MLB Network, Fox Sports 1, Deadspin, TSN, FanDuel, Bleacher Report, and SB Nation.
With a new content strategy in place that put focus on prioritizing quality over quantity and more human interest based content, the @CarolinaMudcats on Instagram saw a 63% growth in followers during the 2019 season alone.
In October 2019, I launched the Carolina Mudcats' TikTok platform and created all content for the platform that reached 55,000+ followers by May of 2020. Nine posts on the account earned over 100,000 views including three that surpassed 500,000 views. By May of 2020, @CarolinaMudcats had the largest TikTok following of any of the 160 teams in Minor League Baseball, and had more followers than 27 of the MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL teams on the app.
